What each program actually is.

B.Com / B.Com (Hons)

The Bachelor of Commerce is designed to equip you with accounting and financial skills and the competencies needed to succeed in commerce. Over three or four years you cover accounting principles, export and import law, economic policy and the other forces that shape trade and business.

It is the general route: a renowned undergraduate degree that lays a broad foundation and keeps every next step open — a professional qualification, a masters, or work. Exit after three years with a B.Com; complete the fourth and graduate with Honours.

A four-year degree built around the curriculum for the ACCA professional qualification, crafted to support a global career and bridge the talent gap in commerce and finance. Students work across audit and assurance, corporate reporting, financial management, tax, governance and ethics.

The Department of Management & Commerce collaborates directly with ACCA, UK, and the program carries nine paper exemptions across the Knowledge and Skills levels. ACCA's qualification is recognised worldwide and is particularly respected in investment banking, management and consulting.

B.Com (Hons) with CMA

A blend of academic commerce and the Certified Management Accountant credential from the Institute of Management Accountants, USA — a qualification recognised in over 150 countries with more than 100,000 certifications earned worldwide.

The program runs to 160 credits across eight semesters, with two full semesters of corporate internship in the third and fourth years. Graduates leave with a B.Com (Hons) in Strategic Finance and the CMA qualification behind them.

Four years blending rigorous commerce fundamentals — accounting, economics, business law and financial principles — with the CFA curriculum, embedding investment analysis, portfolio management, ethics and quantitative tools across all eight semesters.

Level 1 is covered in depth, with Levels 2 and 3 taught alongside core finance, data analysis and visualisation subjects. Three internships punctuate the degree: a social internship in semester three, an audit internship in semester six and a final internship in semester eight.

          The same entry route applies to all four programs, so you can decide between them after you register.

          Who can apply

          50% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent, from any stream and any recognised board.

          Commerce is not a prerequisite — students from science, arts and vocational streams are all eligible on the same criterion. The same requirement applies to all four programs.

          Successful candidates receive an offer naming the program and campus, with a window to confirm.
