First Round PESU JEE Counseling

Important

Eligibility: An aggregate score of 60% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Math) in your class 12 / 2nd PUC exam is a must. The necessary documents should be provided at the counseling session. Without this, the candidate will not be allowed to the counseling / seat selection process.

Venue for Counseling: PES University (Ring Road Campus) - 100 feet outer ring road, Banashankari 3rd Stage, Bangalore 560085. It is mandatory for the candidate to come in-person to the above-mentioned address to attend the counseling.

Candidates are invited to the counseling based on their PESU JEE ranks, as listed below.

June 7 Session PESU JEE Ranks Reporting Time/ Registration Counseling Presentation and Seat Selection

Candidates can report to the counseling venue on date and time corresponding to their PESU JEE ranks as given in the above table. Candidates with PESU JEE ranks above 5000 may be considered for the 2nd round counseling.



COUNSELING PROCESS

Please carry the following items to the Counseling.

Four DDs in favour of PES UNIVERSITY GENERAL FUND, payable at Bangalore:


a. For Rs. 4,00,000/- b. For Rs. 50,000/- c. For Rs. 50,000/- d. For Rs. 10,000/-

Candidates who have already blocked their seat in higher fee quota need not get any DD's, but should get original fee receipt for the amount paid along with photocopy of the original fee receipt. If the original fee receipt is not collected yet, it needs to be collected from the Office of Admissions at PES University Ring Road Campus before attending the counseling.

It is not mandatory for the candidates who have already secured a merit B.Tech seat through our Early Admission Commitment (EAC) round counseling to participate in this counseling process. However, such candidates can participate if they are trying for a change in campus / specialization through this first round PESU JEE counseling with their PESU JEE rank card. In such case, they need to get the DD’s as below…

• If the candidate currently has a EAC seat in Biotechnology / EEE / Mechanical, such candidates should get 2 additional DD’s for Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 50,000

• If the candidate currently has a EAC seat in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), such candidates should get 1 additional DD for Rs. 50,000

• If the candidate currently has a EAC seat in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Computer Science Engineering (AIML), such candidates need not get any additional DD’s

The EAC round candidates should also get the fee receipt for the amount already paid along with the photocopy of this fee receipt. This fee receipt can be downloaded by signing into the DASHBOARD under the “Online Payments” section.

1. DDs for partial amounts will not be entertained/ accepted by the University and such candidates will not be allowed to participate in the seat selection process. Please understand, all four DDs as mentioned above are mandatory (except for the EAC candidates, where the above listed instructions are to be followed)

2. If a candidate selects a seat in Computer Science Engineering (either at ring road campus or electronic city campus)/ Computer Science Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) (either at ring road campus or electronic city campus), then the candidate should submit all four DDs of Rs. 4,00,000, Rs. 50,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 10,000 to the University

3. If a candidate selects a seat in Electronics & Communication Engineering (either at ring road campus or electronic city campus), then the candidate should submit only three DDs of Rs. 4,00,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 10,000 to the University. They can retain the DD for the other Rs. 50,000 with them

4. If a candidate selects a seat in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronic Engineering/ Biotechnology, then the candidate should submit only two DDs of Rs. 4,00,000 and Rs. 10,000 to the University. They can retain the other two DDs of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 50,000 with them

5. No other payment options are accepted. For the registration process to be complete, candidate should produce all the four DDs. Without the proper DDs, seat selection will not be allowed

6. The DD's will be collected from the candidate only if the candidate avails a seat in the seat selection process. If the candidate rejects the seat or chooses to attend the second round of counseling, then the candidate can take back all the DD's with them

7. Please bring your PESU JEE Rank Card (Very Important) Print your rank card – Please sign-in to your DASHBOARD and under the “Next Steps” tab, you will find the button to print your PESU JEE Rank Card

8. Your Final JEE Main Score Card (taken from the NTA JEE Main Government portal) which should clearly show your JEE Main All India Rank along with the QR code – This is mandatory. This will be validated before you are allowed for the seat selection process

9. PESU JEE Main Application form copy – This can be downloaded from your DASHBOARD

10. 10+2 Marks Card (PUC) (If original not available, provisional marks card with original signature of the college authority to be produced for verification)

11. 10th Marks Card (SSLC)

12. Transfer Certificate / College Leaving Certificate (if applicable)

13. Migration Certificate (If other than PU Board) (if applicable)

14. Passport & Stamp Size Photos 6 Copies each

15. Aadhar card

16. Pan card copy of the parent and candidate (for opening a bank account)

17. It is mandatory for the candidate to be present in person at the prescribed reporting time. A candidate will be granted an exception to allow his guardian / parent to represent the candidate only in the case of the candidate attending the CET Verification Process the same day / session. In such a case, please take prior approval by downloading the < Authorization Letter > and getting it attested from PES University in person before the day of counseling. This has to be submitted with the proof document of the candidate attending the CET Verification Process. Attestation of the Authorization letter on the day of counseling is not permitted and such cases will not be allowed to attend the counseling and seat selection.

Note: Original + 2 Sets of Self Attested Photo copies should be provided in the above-mentioned order. Only candidate + 1 Parent / Guardian will be allowed for counseling / seat selection process.

 

TIMELINE

3 Step Counseling Process

Step 1.

Registration Process (at the Golden Jubilee block) - Candidate should report at the prescribed reporting time to the counseling centre and complete the registration process. The registration process includes:

A: Verification of Govt ID of the candidate

B: Verification of four DDs (Demand Drafts)

C: Verification of 12th std / 2nd PU marks

D: Verification of JEE Main Final Score Card by scanning the QR Code

E: PESU JEE Rank Card

Step 2.

Counseling and Seat Selection (at the Golden Jubilee block Auditorium) - Candidate will take the required seat based on the following options

Option A: Candidate will take the seat, submit DDs, all originals documents, and complete the Admission Process.

Option B: Candidate will take the seat, submit DDs, self-attested copies of all original documents with the understanding that the original documents will be submitted to the University on or before the last date to be announced on the University website, www.pes.edu, after the First Round of counseling. It is up to the candidate to keep a tab on the last date to be announced on the University website and act accordingly. This will be a provisional Admission given to the candidate. If the original documents are not received from the candidate on or before the last date to be announced on the University website as mentioned above, the seat will be automatically forfeited and the it will be the candidate’s responsibility to apply and take the refund of the fee paid.

Option C: Reject the seat & choose to attend the further round of counseling. The second round of PESU JEE counseling is scheduled for July and further information regarding this will be shared in a timely manner with all the registered candidates.

Step 3.

Documentation and Welcome Kit (at the Golden Jubilee block) - After seat selection at the Golden Jubilee block Auditorium and submission of DD's, candidates will move to the documentation area of the Golden Jubilee block to complete the documentation process and to collect the welcome kit.

This process might take 4 or 5 hours to complete. The candidates and parents are requested to be patient & complete the process on the same day.


NOTE

1. If the candidate has blocked a seat through higher fee quota/ management quota, and if he/she secures a seat through PESU JEE quota in the counseling, the higher fee quota/ management quota seat (either confirmed or waiting) will be automatically forfeited and the difference amount between the higher fee quota and the PESU JEE quota will be refunded to the candidate automatically

2. If the candidate secures a seat through PESU JEE quota and also secures a seat through Government KCET counseling process to PES University for the same campus and for the same specialization at a later stage, refund will be issued to the candidate for PESU JEE quota seat and the candidate can do the final admissions through the Government KCET quota.
