How does the PESSAT process work for a higher fee quota candidate?
|
- With a higher fee quota (HFC) seat in hand (either confirmed or waiting), candidate can attend the first/second round PESSAT counseling and take a seat if they get and opt for it, after this, the higher fee quota seat in hand (either confirmed or waiting) will be automatically forfeited and the difference amount between PESSAT merit seat and the higher fee quota seat will be refunded to the candidate
- If the candidate takes a PESSAT merit seat in the first round PESSAT counseling, the last date to surrender this PESSAT merit seat will be announced on our website after the first round of PESSAT counseling. If the candidate comes to the second round PESSAT counseling without surrendering the seat taken in first round of PESSAT counseling, candidate cannot surrender seat during the second-round counseling if he/she does not get the branch/specialization of their choice or for any other reason
- If a higher fee quota candidate with a confirmed HFC seat participates in the PESSAT first round counseling and does not opt for a PESSAT seat, then the candidate must decide on either holding or surrendering his/her confirmed higher fee quota seat before the PESSAT last date of surrender, which date will be announced on our website after the first round of PESSAT counseling. Please note, if the candidate does not secure a PESSAT seat in the second-round counseling, he/she cannot surrender the confirmed higher fee quota seat at that time
- After the PESSAT last date of surrender, which date will be announced on our website after PESSAT first round counseling, the confirmed higher fee quota seat cannot be surrendered for any reason unless the candidate gets a PESSAT merit seat in the PESSAT second round counseling or secures a seat through KCET to PES University for the same campus and same specialization, at which time the higher fee quota seat will be automatically forfeited and the difference amount will be refunded to the candidate
- If a confirmed higher fee quota seat needs to be surrendered, it must be done on or before the PESSAT last date of surrender, which date will be announced on our website after PESSAT first round counseling. No further request pertaining to this shall be entertained later
- Surrendering of the higher fee quota seat on or before the PESSAT last date of surrender, which date will be announced on our website after PESSAT first round counseling is not applicable for candidates who are only on waiting list without a confirmed seat in any of the B.Tech specialization
- It is not mandatory for the higher fee quota candidate to participate in the PESSAT counseling process
- If the higher fee quota candidate has been offered a JEE quota seat and if he/she has opted for a JEE quota seat at PES, the higher fee quota seat (either confirmed or waiting) will be automatically forfeited and the difference amount will be refunded to the candidate
- If the higher fee quota candidate wants to participate in the PESSAT counseling, he/she must get the original hard copy fee receipt for the amount paid under higher fee quota (this is mandatory) and it is not necessary to get fresh DD’s again. If the original fee receipt is not yet collected, it can be collected from the Office of Admissions, PES University Ring Road Campus, on the day of the counseling itself. It is also mandatory to get a cancelled cheque which needs to be submitted to the University in case candidate opts for a PESSAT seat
- It is the responsibility of the candidate to keep a tab on our website, www.pes.edu, and to stay updated with the PESSAT last date of surrender to be announced on the above given website after the first round of PESSAT counseling.
